Solidly Good Day
Checked out two new books, had a very fun Chef’s night at training, and ending by visiting with friends. Food, shelter, and love. Who could ask for anything more?

Responsibility
Means having to forego bending over backwards to visit LA for essentially half a day as I must be ready to cook some more on Monday. Anyone reading this that had hopes or expectations revolving around my making and taking this trip, I apologize and promise to make it up to you. Love, Seb

On that last post
Duh! Duh! The one about the river! This is cryptic to everyone but me. But that makes five. And I had it inside already. Hence, duh.

The Tide
Looking for a fifth number to complete an idea I got developing. Or maybe I’ll be more original… I know something glaring will catch my attention sooner or later!!

Naming Nature →
Just finished reading ‘Naming Nature: the clash between instinct and science’, and give it a solid thumbs up! While I have to cop up to this being my first read on taxonomy practices in my rendering the first third a bit sluggish for my taste (hold the salt), the admittance works twice as powerfully to highlight my awe at the revelations, articulated so well, of the remainder. Well...

Sacrifice
I have loaves of bread in my trailer that were supposed to go bad two months ago. They haven’t because it is very cold. I go to sleep with all of my clothes on, in a cocoon sleeping bag, lately after blowing out a candle because my source of electricity has been denied me. Not complaining; I have bread! But damn it’s cold. We’ll get through this, me, and be better for it.

Electricity
Is something I feel not enough people, namely myself, understand to a degree that would be helpful in certain situations. I once made a 4th grade teacher ‘get it’ for the first time with a lightbulb project I constructed, and have been resting on my laurels in this regard ever since. No more! I used to want to be like Thomas Edison or Nikola Tesla. Shit, it’s never too late to...

Community Dinner Wed
If you’re in Seattle tomorrow between 5-7pm and reading this now, you are cordially invited to a community Christmas dinner taking place at that time, taking place in the FareStart restaurant at 7th and Virginia in downtown. Please RSVP! It’s free, and very good.

WatchWatch
One of my neighbors down the way has chickens! This is a little video of three of them by the side of the road (and not providing me with any jokes by crossing, I might add). There’s even a rooster further up the lawn you get to hear! With kind interest I ask a lady drinking coffee on her porch right nearby, “these your chickens?” to which she says, hiding how she wishes to...

Connect
Phase 1 complete yesterday, and couldn’t have ended any better :) In LA today on my day off to help with family business (www.lasurfbus.org), returning in the AM to begin Phase 2. I played the background of a new song, ‘Connect’ at the Surf Bus Fundraiser event today, and the energy of the room changed to my liking! This augers well, and I’m pre-committing what revenues...

NPR: The 5 Best Toys of All Time : Wired →
npr: 1. Stick What’s brown and sticky? A Stick. This versatile toy is a real classic — chances are your great-great-grandparents played with one, and your kids have probably discovered it for themselves as well. It’s a required ingredient for Stickball, of course, but it’s so much more. Stick works… Haven’t read it all, but I like it!
